NO Winner for Mo Ibrahim Prize This Year

There’s no winner for this year’s $5 million Mo Ibrahim Prize for achievement in African leadership.
The prize, named after Sudanese-born businessman, Mo Ibrahim, was first given in 2007 to former Mozambican president, Joaquim Chissano, followed by Festus Mogae, Botswana’s former head of state, in 2008.

Eligible awardees are democratically elected leader from the sub-Saharan region, and must have left office in the last three. The prize is worth $5 million paid over 10 years, plus $200,000 per year for life afterwards.
